Big Laphroaig Session

Laphroaig 1977/1999 (43%, BBR, C#5081, 旋蓋)
C: Yellow, somewhat green. Limburg sample.
N: Peaty, nutty, quite medical, boggy, seaweed. Reminds you 15yo OB, layered, complex.
P: medium body, rich and sweet, quite nice finish, tasting good. Still powerful even at 43%.
D: beach, animal, peat.
C: 90 points. A very good tasting one. Sweet, peaty, rich and good. 很好喝的一支酒, 相當的肥美豐裕, 卻又有著恰到好處的泥煤風味. 讓你想再喝一口的酒.

2009 艾雷音樂節節慶裝瓶嚐鮮品飲

我們比利時的麥芽狂人, 同時也是Lindores的領導人Luc設立的Whiskysample網站提供了認識不認識酒友們ㄧ個分享特別酒款的機會, 當初他設立網站的時候還頗受到一部分麥芽狂人們的批判, 雖然我是挺他的狂人之一, 但是倒也沒跟他買過,不過在艾雷威士忌音樂節的二手價錢不斷飆漲的同時, 今年還是覺得透過他的網站分享算是比較划算的作法. 只是本來想等他全部post上網再來訂, 沒想到前面幾天的酒一下就被搶光了, 看到Ardbeg這兩瓶上網後趕快訂了一下, 今天收到搶到的這四支趕緊來嚐個鮮.
Bruichladdich 16yo 'Cuvee C Margaux' (46%, OB)
C: Brown. Somewhat orange/peach like. 這支酒當然不是今年音樂節的酒, 上次幫Andrew翻譯拿到的禮物, 開了一陣子了, 今年拿來漱口.
N: very malty, light fruity nose, tropical fruit, somewhat flower, 奶油芭樂.
P: Medium body, medium short finish. Nutty bitter. Somewhat strong. 苦味明顯.
C: 79 points. I don't think it's a good trial. 紅酒桶的影響明顯, 有特色但是並不是我喜歡的類型, 怪異是真的!
Bruichladdich 1993/2009 ‘Oirthir Gaidheal' (53.6%, OB, C#13, 1,000 bts. Feis Ila 2009)
C: Yellow.
N: Fresh fruit, citrus, and vanilla, raw grain, quite lovely one. 有些海鮮火鍋的聯想.
P: Medium light body, mild, short finish. Kind of weak, mild. Easy going. Kind of robust ending.
C: 82 points. An easy going and good Bruichladdich. Very festival feel. 有著酒廠特色的果香, 歡樂節慶感覺, 但是不算非常突出的酒.

幾隻老猛禽 pre-bottling tasting

由於擔任豪邁的顧問, 我總有機會在還沒裝瓶之前就試到這些酒, 不過太懶了, 這些酒進來台灣很久也沒寫紀錄, 真是不太襯職! 不過話說回來, 我也當SMWS的台灣選酒團隊主席, 不過我也好像沒有再替協會選酒. 只能說是頭銜啦!

N: Lot's citrus, quite peaty. heather, very earthy. light smokiness, green apple.
