Highland Park 10yo 1996/2006 Ambassador Cask 2 (58.8%, OB, Cask#1071, refill sherry butt)
Color: Yellow, a little bit gold, watering.
Nose: Dried fruit, nut, quite strange woody feel. sweet behind. not that pleasent, deep indeed. is that sulfer?
Palate: Hot, young, robust, some bitter and nutty feel. Reminds me some Macallan I just don't like. Salty finish, but again, something bad appeared again.
Conclusion: 72 points. Nose is OK, but there is something in palate I just don't like. Not my style, where is the lovely HP characters gone? Is it that important to bottle something uniquie?

 • 多謝K大的SAMPLE, 我的評分是客氣多了,不過最終感想一致, 也就是"Is it
that important to bottle something unique?"

 • 希望沒有被嚇到, 我給的sample通常很有趣而少見, 但是不代表就會好喝.
前兩天才跟Dave Broom討論這支酒, 這裡是他的tasting note:

By Dave Broom:
Brand: 16 Highland Park Ambassador's Cask 2, 58.8%
Nose: A weird nose that starts off like an old trunk filled
with apples and raisins, then a rancid butter note. Pear
juice. Smoke. Odd.
Palate: Immediate phenolic hit. Sweet persimmon fruitiness
then high alcohol. Wood. That sour note continues. Camphor. No
great integration. The oak on one side a strange
slightly 'off' spirit on the other.
Finish: Coconut matting and, finally, smoke.
Conc: One would suspect that Mr Ambassador would be a touch
disappointed if he was served this.
Score: 6.75
