 Blind Tasting:

Sample 1: 棕色, 很厚實, 熱帶果香, 柑橘, 一點點泥煤, 些微堅果, 沒有焦糖, 溫暖而年輕.  80分.  答案: Glengoyne 10yo (40%, OB)

Sample 2: 淺棕色, 柑橘, 波本桶陳年, 清新, 草香, 麥芽香氣明顯, 香草.  輕酒體, 短尾韻, 77分, 答案: Glenlivet 12yo (40%, OB, new 2005)

Hibiki 21yo (43%, OB, Suntory Blend Whisky)

Brown, Smoky.  Citrus, lot’s caramel, Quite OK, but a little bit disappoint.  Adding water perform the same.  Score: 78.

Bruichladdich 39yo 1966/2005 (41.4%, Peerless, Cask#190, 230b.)

Sample from Open House.  Golden, lot’s fresh fruit.  Vanilla.  Quite deep and nice.  Lovely old malt.  Very lightly peated.  Matured.  A little bit over the peak.  Kind of salty finish.  Some leave mint at the end.  Score: 87.

Visiting Backyard, or the new name "Larriere-cour".  It is possible that we'll hold an event at this famous pub with Yilan.  

Glenmorangie 12yo Cote de Beaune (46%, OB)
I think they took this one from overseas.  Haven't seen this one in Taiwan before.  Quite smoky.  citurs, lot's tropical fruit.  Medium body.  Long finish.  A little bit caremel.  No really my style Quite nutty in palate.  Score 80.

It was hold during the lunch time in Grand Hyatt Taipei.

It's very nice to have Bill here.  He spend almost one week to meet the consumer all over Taiwan.  Doing three tasting a day.  Unbelievable!  He is very nice to chat with everybody.  He explained very well about the key point but carefully not to touch too much about the production.  I actually like his style of speech. 

Mortlach 1990/2004 (46%, Wilson & Morgan, Sherry Wood)

Golden brown.  Quite sherry.  Nutty, citrus.  A little bit toffee.  Quite nice nose.  Deep.  A hint of white chocolate.  Mellow.  Very nutty in palate.  Happened to be the one I don’t like.  Robust.  Score: 76.

Linkwood 24yo Oct. 1973/May 1998 (46%, Kingsbury’s, Sherry Butt#14037)

Richard Paterson, the Master of Whyte and MacKay group, is in Taiwan promoting The Dalmore.  I had the honor to attend the Master Night.  Though not a official tasting, more like a business dinner, people here in Taiwan love him.  He is so funny and charming.  A great Master!

Eleuthera (46%, Compass Box, vatted malt)

Yellow.  Very nice and thick.  Quite elegant.  Vanilla, citrus, malty sweet. Very light peat.  A little bit nutty in palate, but not over powered.  Medium body.  Medium finish.  Score: 85.

Glen Mhor 12yo (40%, G&M Licensed bottling.  1990s)

Golden grassy.  A little bit toffee.  Kind of easy.  Light body.  Medium finish.  A little bit salty in palate.  Quite normal.  Score: 78.

Macallan 10yo Cask Strength (58.8%, OB, Europe)

Brown color.  Sherry, Plum, Citrus, very complicated.  Quite Robust.  Much better than the later 57.2% version.  Fresh, light, yet strong.  Deep toffee.  Very nice palate.  I like it.  Medium finish.  Score: 90.
