Macallan 10yo Cask Strength (58.8%, OB, Europe)
Brown color. Sherry, Plum, Citrus, very complicated. Quite Robust. Much better than the later 57.2% version. Fresh, light, yet strong. Deep toffee. Very nice palate. I like it. Medium finish. Score: 90.
Macallan 12yo 1990/2003 (57.5%, Wilson and Morgan, Cask#8748)
Brown color. Chocolate. Deep and thick. Toffee, very hidden cirrus. A little bit better at this stage. Very nutty. I don’t like it. Not my style. Score: 78.
Aberlour 12yo Double Cask Matured (43%, OB)
Aberlour’s Double Cask is not finish. It’s ordinary marrying. Golden brown color. Toffee. Ceramal, citrus. Lightly peated., quite easy and boring. Score: 79.
Aberlour NAS A’bunnadh Batch#08 (60.2%, OB)
Brown color. Deep sherry. Raisin, plum, chocolate, toffee. A little bit smoke, tobacco, but not peat. Very nice palate, excellent long finish. I like it. Score: 89.
