C: Yellow, clear, watering.
N: Fruity, spicy, orange zess, hay, new oak, fresh grass.

Peated malts and an old rum!

Ardbeg 1990/2006 Airigh Nam Beist (46%, OB)
C: Light gold, clear.
N: Sweet, peat, malty, earth feel, bog. dilute get more flwoer feel.

Big Clynelish/Brora Session
Date: Oct. 5th, 2006
Place: at home.
Clynelish 1972 (59.7%, bottler unknown OB?, C#5641, Black, white, red Label. +/-1992)
C: Dark brown, a little bit greenish.
N: Heavily sherried, clean, chocolate, sweet, raisin/prum, blackberry, malty grain.

c: Light gold, very watering.

Sep. 24, 2006, Mortlach Tasting at home
Mortlach 1990/2004 Sherry Wood (46%, Wilson Morgan)
C: Dark gold.
N: Beautiful start, fresh fruit nose, lcear citrus, nutty sweet, kind of simple, robust.
P: Very nutty, heavy body, long finish, more like refill bourbon hogshead to me.
C: 76 points. Very nice fruity nose, hard to recognize Mortlach house style. Don't like the nutty finish. 其實Mortlach的堅果為算是很正常的酒廠風格, 但是這裡的感覺太突出而有不好的感覺!

Sep. 19th, 2006 taste at home
Glen Scotia Jul.1999/Jun.2006 (52.7%, OB for Whiskyfair, C#1999/541+542, 464bts. Bourbon Barrels, Heavily Peated)
C: Light yellow, straw, pale.
N: Peaty, a little bit soup, reminds you young Bowmore, venilla and pear, star fruit, hint of flower.
P: Light body, finished Long, Robust, very nice finish. Adding water get more peaty/earth feel. Becoming thick and sweet.
C: 91 points. Very nice and unique and un-expected good. 我個人非常喜歡這支酒, 不過以一支接近七年的酒來說, 不包含運費就要接近三千, 真的有點貴!

Sep. 16th, 2006 Tasting at home
C: Light gold, clear.
N: Very nice, citrus, sea, light peat. Honey, malty. fresh and sweet. reminds you purple flower, heathery? Very beautiful nose, deep cookie.
P: A litty bit watering. fresh, medium finish. smooth. finish well.
C: 85 points. Sample from 國文, Thanks. This is a veyr nice OB standard bottle. I would highly recommend as daily house malt. 這支酒屬於舊瓶裝, 之前只給了75分, 但是這次品飲卻很喜歡, 不知道是否是批次差異?

壹週刊純麥15年盲飲
Tasting Time: Sep. 15, 2006
很有趣的經驗, 雖然盲飲, 但是還是有猜對. 由於國內15年純麥種類不多, 還真的蠻好猜的. 我負責15年的評分, 莊主編負責比較難的12年! 不過顯然我雖然認真都調到80以上, 整體分數還是比莊大哥低, 顯然我打分是嚴格了些!

Edradour 10yo 1993/2004 (57.2%, OB, Sauternes Finish)
C: Light yellow, clear.
N: Malty, Light stiley, sweet, vinella, a little bit like rum finish product. Soft fruit, then turn rich, robust, vrry nice nose.
P: Light, robust, medium finish.
C: 82 points. This is a sample from Johannes. Very nice Edradour. But still some unpleasant finish at end, or I'll give it higher score. Still more like a rum finish to me. 對於Edradour我實在是有點怕, 不過這支還真的不錯.

Sep. 2, 2006 春風Blackadder品酒會
春風的品酒會真的有好多冷門酒廠的好酒可以喝, 但是也真是考驗大家的功力!
Glendullan 11yo 1994 Dec./2006 Feb. (58.7%, Blackadder Raw Cask, C#6816, 625bts. First fill Bodega Sherry Butt)
C: Brown, clear.
N: Mild, Clear sheery note, but not over, sweet grape, raisen, very sweet, peach.
P: Mild, Medium body, very long finish, dilute get more sweeter feel. better finish.

July 15, 2006 Glen Garioch 品酒會
Glen Garioch 12yo, OB, 43%
C: Brown, watering, oil.
N : Malty sweet, quite standard highland malt. hint of peat, tropical fruit. honey, a little bit salty. dilute get more fruity feel.
P : Easy, medium body, medium finish, quite nice standard malt.
C: 82 points. easy, nice nose. I only gave it 78 previouly.

雜記
今年的重點會擺在社團活動與個人文章的寫作上, 還沒有想清楚無名這邊與明日報那邊的規劃, 尤其偶然發現文章有被無名氏抄襲後有點小小的不滿.
很高興看見酒友們紛紛開始部落格的發表, 雖然跨年的時候一位學妹夫(中時部落格大賞的評審)才談起了部落格的瓶頸, 但是部落格確實提供了每個人自由發表的可能性! 當初在明日報開始寫作的時候也是硬著頭皮寫的, 一開始還不敢跟Stephen, Brian, 阿飛說, 他們三個比我寫的還早, 現在的我比較有些自信了, 似乎是熱忱帶動寫作的感覺, 今年翻譯告一段落, 想認真寫寫東西, 老婆說我不拘小節的個性比較適合寫文章, 不適合翻譯, 所以多喝酒也許會多寫靈感吧! 把文章整理整理, 也許有人找我出書也說不定, 哈哈!

東西名人一二月份合訂本, 內容錯誤頗多, 雖然記者很認真, 但是不熟悉就是不熟悉, 還是太高估記者了...
應該還有另外一本Man's Style新出的雜誌叫做"Tonight"有做一個小採訪, 我還沒看到, 聽說內容更糟, 有人看到的話幫忙拍個照片給我.
