Balvenie 33yo 1971/2005 Vintage Cask (46.7%, OB, C#8919, 197 bts.)
C: Brown, golden.
N: Lot's citrus, orage, vanilla, sweet, very speyside style, light peat (quite interesting, especially after 33yo, should be around 7~10 ppm, highe than normal Balvenie's 5~6 ppm), Quite powerful, clear woodiness.
P: Medium body, warm, thick palate, long finish. powerful than expected.
C: 91 points. a vry nice Balvenie at the best shape. 這支酒是我第一次造訪酒廠的時候從酒廠抱回來的, 據說是當初在Balvenie當稅務員的那位先生選出來的酒(他貢獻了一篇文章在酒廠集結成冊的論文集中), 沒有回頭查資料, 印象中有提到這支酒裡面有茶葉的味道. 前天晚上跟Charlie喝酒的時候他似乎有提到某種英國知名的茶, 我不是很確定是否因為這支酒的原因讓他想起, 不過我自己是沒有再這支酒發現跟茶業相關的聯想. 這支酒雖然表現並沒有太多層次感, 但是酒體紮實而有力, 香氣飽滿, 仍然是支老Balvenie在巔峰狀態的代表作品.
