Some very nice sample from frineds.
Lochside 23yo 1981/2004 (55.1%, Cadenhead's, 204b. Sherry Hogshead)
Color: Dark Brown. Nose, sweet sherry, creaming. A little bit prum at the background. Quite sweet. Strong body. Finished long. smokeness at the end. Very smoky finish. Score: 88. Quite nice experience. I think Lockside worth some more attention. Too bad it's alredy tear down.
Laguvulin 1979 Double Mature (43%, OB)
Very strange. This one has quite weak body. As this bottle lacks of neck label. And the body is quite weak. Not quite match the momory I tasted two years ago. Score: 82. I've told that there were several batches for 1979 DM, that qutie explains something.
Laguvulin 1988 (56%, Samaroli, 324b.)
What can I say? Samaroli proofs again that his bottle is the best. Score: 90. Laguvulin is truly the king of Islay.
Glen Grant 26yo 1975/2001 (43%, Scottish Castles, Cask#5529, Series 3, bottled for Jack Weber's)
Quite oil, stand Glen Grant house style. Sherry. torpical fruit, smoky. Score: 84
