N: Quite malty, minty, light peat, sweet, nice and charming.
P: Medium body, rounded, las long,verynice old cask.
C: 89 points. Rounded old whiksy. wiht better body than I expect from Caol Ila.
Cragganmore 22yo 1985/2008 (56.7%, TWE Single Malt of Scotland, C#2461, 218 bts)
N: Beautiful fruit nose, creaming, nie cookie, buttermilk, lovely vanilla.
P: Medium-heavy body, rich, long finish. charming palate.
C: 92 points. A surpring good malt. Winnier for sure. probably the best Cragganmore I've ever tasted. Very hot bottle in Europe.
Clynelish 35yo 1972/2008 (537%, TWE Single Malt of Scotland, C#12651, 273 bts)
C: Golden yellow.
N: Minty, sour mash, malty, grassy.
P: Light body, medium finish, quite nice and charming.
C: 88 points. Quite nice but not powerful enough.
Tomintoul 40yo (43.3%,TWE Anniversary Malt, 335 bts.)
C: Yellow.
N: Grassy, lot's flower, lot's animal, grain.
P: Medium body, medium finish. Still powerful, finished well, quite grassy.
D: Animal.
C: 85 points. good old malt, but probably not that impressive, good value.
