Highland Park 12yo (43%, OB, old bottle, before 2003)
83 points. 以前留下來的舊sample, 拿來漱漱口當基準, Still very rich and nice, quite layered, fruity and nutty, very good OB standard bottle.

Highland Park 17yo 1989/2006 (46%, Miroy's of Soho, C#1113, 270 bts. Ex-bourbon cask)
C: Yellow, quite oil.  郵購進來台灣的酒.
N: Lot's of citrus, fresh fruit, nutty. didn't get the signature heather.
P: Medium-thick body, salty, finished malty sweet. very ncie taste.
D: Nutty feel, more leaves/grassy.
C: 84 points. A nice and drinkable highland malt. but not really Highland Park.


Highland Park 25yo 1981 (48.9%, Jack and Jack, 84 bts. Ex-Port cask)
C: Brown reddish, king of watering, Limburg sample.
N: Tropical fruit, animal/farm. hint of grain. dee, some peat and heather.
P: Robust, 刺舌, medium body, 甜膩, very port finish. A little bit salty.
D: Very nice and deep nutty feel. nutty finish.
C: 79 points. I don't think this is a successful wood finish product. But quit complex and drinkable.

Highland Park 1967 (acl% not shown. OB, old bottle, 70s)
C: Dark gold, kind of watering, Limburg sample.
N: Old malt nose. Grain, hint of peat, very light tropical fruit, green apple, 曬穀場.
P: Medium light body, 10~15yo, 40%? Very dry and short finish.
C: 80 points. Nice old bottle. bu nothing too much to say. very easy one.

Place: at home

Highland Park 1988/2003 (57.7%, Spirit of the Isles, C#706, 600 bts).
C: Gold yellow, bright, 信賢大哥送的酒, 感謝.
N: Grain, citrus, very fresh fruit. vanilla, robust, lot's alchol. Cookie, hint of heather.
P: Light body. malty sweet, robust, finish well.
D: Clear malty feel with lot's of minty nose.
C: 83 points. Nice and value. 


Highland Park 13yo 1992/2006 (61.5%, Clydesdale, C#0028/20571, 444 bts. Sherry cask)
C: Light yellow, bright. Limburg sample.
N: Creaming with lot's citrus and lemon. Lot's cookie/grain, 酒精的刺激感.
P: Light body, finished dry. Long but also sweet. a very unique taste and finish. Minty sweet. excellent.
D: Animal/farm. fresh tropical fruit, hint of  very little heather.
C: 89 points. Straight is better. Vey nice selection.

Highland Park 22yo 1984 (52.7%, SMWS, C#4.113)
C: Bright gold, Limburg sample.
N: Clear citrus, lemon. hint of grain. very speyside feel.
P: light body, finished short, refreshing.
D: hint of heather.
C: 80 points. Good but easy, not very Highland Park.



Highland Park 25yo 1980/2005 (55.5%, OB, C#7363, for Germany)
C: Brown kind of green. oil legs, Limburg sample.
N: burned rubber, sulfer, fruit tart, grainy.
P: Light body, good sherry taste, finished well and long.prum.
C: 82 points. Not very nice nose, but good taste with quite old finish. Also with hint of burned caramel and sulfer in palate.

    I disagree of your opinion of this whisky and rating, becuse i bet you never smell and taste it.
    it's 40.1% ABV,by American Oak,full of character and elegance-written by Jim Mcewan
  • Thanks for your comment. All my records are based on my tasting note. I don' quite remember where I got this sample, probably at Limburg. As the data is not complete, it's not on monitor. And I don't know why it's connected to Jim McEwan?
