Port Ellen 11yo 1983/1994 (40%, The Whisky House for Pure Pot Still)
C: Light yellow, straw, clear. Limburg sample.
N: Very peaty, grain sweet. fresh fruit. a little bit apple and vanilla, sweet, light but good.
P: Light body. short finish. vey sweet. with peaty bitter palate. vey good taste.
C: 88 points. A vey nice young and low proof Port Ellen. vey drinkable and unexpectable. 通常我是不會喝40%的酒, 但是憑良心說, 偶而還是會有佳作的!
Port Ellen Malting
Port Ellen 23yo 1983/2007 (56.7%, DL Platinum for Whiskyfiar, 150 bts. bourbon hogshead)
C: Dark gold, very oil. unlike normal bourbon cask.
N: Peaty fresh, new wood feel. smoky, pear, minty.
P: Peaty bitter, medium body. medium finish. smoky and hint of sweet.
C: 89 points. another vey drinkable malt. Good but easy. 顏色很深, 很難想像是波本桶的酒!
