Lagavulin 12yo (43%, OB, Cream Label)
C: Brown, fine legs, oil,.
N: Peat, smoky, burned beach logs, troical fruit, a little bit malty at back.
P: Medium thick body, Powerful and matured. Sweet, finished long.
D: Burned logs, sugar, sweet, still peaty, hint of citrus.
C: 92 points. nice and matured. finished very well. a matured young "old" version.  這支酒是我去年在Limburg帶回來的sample, 應該算是16yo 之前的版本, 估計裝瓶年份大概在1980前後, 目前市價大約一瓶兩萬五左右, 相當標準的Lagavulin, 有著強勁的酒體與複雜的層次, 讓你很訝異的年輕古董酒.

Lagavulin 12yo Special Release #2 (57.8%, OB, 2002)
C: Light gold yellow.
N: Iodine, eat, sea, robust, more like Laphraoig, burned log. fresh fruit, citrus.
P: medium light body. young. medium finish. powerful. salty. with hint of peaty bitter.
D: More citrus comes out. Peaty and marine style.
C: 91 points. Nice peaty sweet finish. enjoyable. powerful.  忘了是什麼時候留下來的sample, 還是很喜歡的一個版本!

Lagavulin 12yo Special Release #5 (57.7%, OB, 2005)
C: Light yellow, clear.
N: Lot's of citrus, even fresh, still peaty and marine style, very boggy feeling.
P: King of weak, robust, peaty bitter, style is more like Labavulin. young.
D: Peaty, burned logs.
C: 87 poitns. an comaring easy and too much peat version. Too robust. not balance.  印象中應該是Lazy在名酒集買過來喝的版本, 感覺上比印象中簡單許多, 也許是排序的關係!

Lagavulin 1987/2003 Distiller's Edition (43%, OB, lgv 4/491)
C: Brown.
N: Peaty, lot's of tropical fruit. animal, sweet, boggy. hint of malt.
P: Mild, matured. sweet. more comlex. easy. dry.
C: 89 points. Complex. good. but seems a little bit gone. easy. 相當輕鬆但是複雜的酒, 感覺上保存過酒而有點氧化感, 但是仍然相當有價值!

Lagavulin 16yo (43%, OB, 1988 pre Classic Malts)
C: Brown gold.
N: Peaty, burned wood. smoky. hint of citrus. then more malty feel.
P: easy, more sweetness. finished short.甜膩感.
C: 87 points. Seems not as good as white horse edition. not even reach the current Port Ellen one. very malty.這支也是Michel 寄給我的sample. 是被納進去classic malt系列之前的標準版本, 但是似乎比想像中插!

Lagavulin 25yo (57.2%, OB, 9,000bts.)
C: Brown, thick oil.
N: nice, citrus, orange. with hint of peat. very malty.
P: Matured. nice peatiness. rounded finish.
C: 91 points. an nice old Lagavulin. 這支酒是我去年去東京酒展時在成田機場的pub點的酒, 之前由於幾位大師都給了低份的評價, 這支酒似乎有段時間賣得很差, 但是自己嘗試後還蠻喜歡的, 可惜在這一年來已經漲價許多, 目前正在找機會開OB 30年比較一下!

  • 其實手邊還真的有幾支想開的Lagavulin, 但是真的要忍住. 昨天才剛天說萬華的宏福有不錯價錢的30yo
