很認真的想, 如果在愚人節辦個盲飲, 我要拿哪些酒出來招待資深酒友們呢?  

Ardmore 1981/1997 (40%, G&M Licensed bottled)
C: Golden brown, quite watering, not easy to see the legs.
N: Peated(medium hight) tropical fruit, sea, malty, very Islay, cookie, hint of citrus a little bit sea-shore, seaweed. quite nice nose.
P: Medium body. short finish. not powerful enough, mild.
D: dilute get more citrus, peat, animal like. don't feel like Islay anymore, but still peaty.
C: 81 points. Sample from Michel,. Nose the best, close to Islay style. Palate too bitter. 其實Ardmore的酒質真的不錯, 酒友們應該認真嘗試, 幾次經驗下來其實還感覺出不少海風味, 資料顯示多數都在酒廠陳年, 那麼海風味到底來自哪裏, 這似乎與Caol Ila 一樣是個謎吧!

Ballechin #1 NAS (46%, OB, Burgundy matured, 6,000Bts.)
C: Brown, oil.
N: Very peaty and smoky, sulfer, burned rubber, smoky again, toast malt, hint of tropical fruit.
P: Medium body. Smoky, peaty bitter, short finish.
D: dilute get nice fruity feel. feels much better. Animal nose, bitter finish. Too young.
C: 74 points. This is the award sample. I only gave it 68 in blind tasting. I think it performs much better this. time.But I still don't like the palate and finish
. 這是氧化的魔力嗎? 雖然還是沒有得高分, 但是感覺好多了! 我也買了一支, 以後會增值吧! 但是實在不怎麼欣賞他們家的風格!

Longrow 14yo (46%, OB)
C: Gold yellow, clear and watering.
N: peaty, lot's of animal boggy feel. 沼氣, stable. then bitter sour feel. 酸敗感, 氧化!
P: peaty bitter palate, medium finish. medium ligh tbody. quite simple.
C: 80 points. 兩年前買的酒, 4 poitns lower than just open. An very simple peaty malt. Not bad but not too impressive
.也許是因為這個sample存太久了(中間還喝過兩次, 剩最後一點) 感覺上有點氧化, 但是還是一支水準佳作!

Ledaig 20yo (43%, OB)
C: Golden, clear.
N: Medium peated level. very fruity. fresh, malty, then a little bit animal. more like Brora.
P: Medium body, fresh and easy, sweet with a littl bit peaty feel. light and easy.
C: 81 points. sample from Johannes, 4 points lower than the first time. Light peat, sweet, easy, no bourden at all.
相當輕鬆的一支酒, 中度泥煤, 沒有壓力而容易喝.幾次都喝不出海島風.

Balantruan 2001/2005 (62.1%, Mackillop's C#14339)
C: Straw, very light in color.
N: Very peaty, like Caol Ila, clean, iodine, malty, strong. 
P: Powerful young, light peaty, malty, sweet, very sweet, medium long finish. very nice palate.
C: 88 points. A very easy young malt with very peaty level. it is said to have 55ppm, unbelievable. Very clean and good. Surprising.
  大家都做重泥煤的實驗作品, 但是做得好的不多, 這支酒還是保有原來酒廠的乾淨風格, 沒有太多的複雜度, 但是乾淨好喝, 雖然在其他Maniacs的評價不一, 但是Kingfisher還蠻推薦的! 找到是哪間酒廠了嗎? 還真的不太容易找呢!(看到就知道是哪間酒廠的人出個聲, Kingfisher留一點給你試酒, 翻書或是goole的不算喔!) 

Brora 29yo 1972/2002 (59.9%, OMC, Platinum)
C: Golden.

N: Standard Brora, peaty, fruity, sour malt. animal, balanced and complex.
P: Medium body, matured. very nice and balanced. Master piece. finished sweet and peaty. 
C: 90 points. good. nice and strong. matured. very good.
 與前次品飲同分, 相當棒的一支酒.
