Clynelish 1972/2005 (49.4%, The Whisky Exchange, 206 bottles)

Golden, bourbon cask, Woody, quite flowerish.  Lot’s citurs, 60%? Malty sweet.  A little bit pine apple.  Light body.  Long finish.  Very nice bourbon cask speysider.(Oops!) However, lack of complexity, not that impressive.  Finished salty.  Score: 88.

The Peat Monster (46%, Compass Box, K5064)

Light Yellow, very peaty.  Citrus, fruity.  Malty sweet.  Caol Ila? 46%? Kind of flower(Lavender?)  Nutty palate, medium finish.  Light body.  Balanced!  Score: 88. (I only gave it 82 last time.  This time seems more balanced.)

Blairfindy 24yo 1980/2004 (55.9%, Blackadder for Sun Favourite Taiwan, sherry butt #5984, 182 bottles)

It’s easy to tell it’s Blairfindy, it’s dark, it has some solid particles in the bottle, but I have not yet taste this one.  Brown dark.  Rice, orange, raison, dark chocolate, 18yo? Very long finish.  Medium to heavy body.  Matured and well balanced.  Very nice one.  Score: 88.

Glen Grant 31yo 1970/2001 (45%, Samaroli, sherry cask #1025)

Brown black.  Heavily sherried.  Chocolate.  Very fine legs.  Glanfarclas? Some kind of orange.   Very light peat, nice and matured.  Old! Yet powerful.  Nut! Peach! Medium body.  Medium finish, 25~30yo.  Very nice old one.  Best the finish.  Score: 88.
