I select two OB 12yo with significant sherry influence and low peat.  Both are great with Chinese food.

Glen Elgin 12yo (43%, OB)

Yellow brown.  Hint of smokiness with some tropical fruit.  Sherry influence for sure.  Then turned out to have some citrus and candy.  Very nice and balance.  Robust palate chocolate, sweet.  Medium body.  Medium finish.  Adding water get more fresh fruit.  Score: 84.  I add one extra point because it is good to go with ice and with Chinese food.  A value and better choice then Macallan.

Bruichladdich 12yo (46%, OB, 2005 core range)

There was another 12yo in 2003, mainly bottled for US and Taiwan.  The 2005 core range 12yo also comes form Spanish cask.  But seems not so heavily sherried.  Yellow brown color.  Toffee, chocolate, fruit, then Bruichladdich.  Very little heather, flowerish.  Elegant palate.  Long finish with some woodiness tannin feel.  Adding water get more chocolate and orange.  Finished well.  Score: 85.  The winner.
