Balvenie New Spirit

Very rich, fruity note, apple, very Spring feel. green pepper. 感覺上跟印象中的New Spirit很不一樣, 比較刺激! 感謝Murder提供!

Balvenie 15yo Single Barrel 1978/1999 (50.4%, OB, C#4712, d. 25, 04, '78, b. 24, 03, '99)

C: Yellow.

N: vanilla, honey, sweet, apple.

P: Medium light body, medium short finish.

C: 83 points. more vanilla influence than my previous memory. lot's woodiness, kind of simple.  跟我印象中很不一樣, 感覺過於簡單, 社團之前喝過這支特別的20yo15年版, 同一個桶號, 之前給了89分, 這次喝起來差多了, 但是跟另外兩個狂人的分數比較接近. (81, 79) 所以也許我之前真的給太高了?

Balvenie 17yo Madeira Cask (43%, OB, 100ml duty paid sample)

C: Light yellow.

N: Sweet, a little bit nutty. arificial , quite some alcohol influence.

P: Medium body, midium finish. very nutty, finished strange.

C: 80 points. unlike other Madeira finish whisky, this one actually taste much more nut and taste quite fruity.  比我預期的差, 不太像是Madeira Cask的感覺.感謝Murder從蘇格蘭帶回來的嘗鮮款!

Balvenie 14yo Golden Cask (47.5%, OB, Golden Caribean Rum Cask)

C: Golden.

N: Very malty, some animal feel. more rum and spirit feel.

P: Qutie good palae, medium body, medium long finish.

C: 86 points. a good rum cask malt, espeical good for drinking. 喝起來很不錯的一支Rum finish. 感謝Murder提供, 聽說是下半年的主打, 原本僅供免稅店專賣, 能夠進來台灣還真不錯!

Balvenie 21yo Portwood (47.6%, OB, 2009)

C: Brown.

N: Very malty, toffee, rich flower, tropical fruit, somewhat remind me Glenmorangie, light flower.

P: Medium heavy body. medium long finish.

C: 87 points. very sweet. a very rich and good one. 免稅店專賣的高酒精度版本, 確實很不錯的一支酒, 也應該比一般低濃度的版本要好.

Balvenie 1974/1987 (56%, Samaroli, 408 bts.)

C: Yellow.

N: quite some grassy and spicy note.  Need some time. some nice tea leaves note, good old Balvenie, nice flower, cookie.

P: Medium light body, medium finish some old malt feel. very rich and creaming. 

C: 90 points. very good and elegant. 好優雅而且表現越來越棒的一支酒, Samaroli果然是有功力!

Balvenie 15yo 1974/1990 (57.1%, Signatory, C#18103~18130, 2,500 bts. dumty bottle)

C: Golden.

N: very rich flower, honey and vanilla. very Balvenie.

P: Medium light body, medium finish.

C: 89 points. Nice, much better than most ob 15yo, very lively with good palate. powerful. 很棒的一支15年, 相當標準而享受的Balvenie.

Balvenie 31yo 1973/2004 Vintage Cask (49.7%, OB, C#9219, 219 bts.)

C: dark gold.

N: Quite woody. raw cask, fresh fruit, kind of weak.

P: Light body, medium short finish. quite refreshing, elegant.

C: 87 points. a comparing easy, and light version. 本來以為有喝過, 結果居然沒記錄!

Balvenie 17yo Sherry Oak (48.2%, OB, bottled in 2007 Aug. First Release)

C: Dark brown, somewhat red.

N: Lot's raisen, toffen, caremel feel, very heavey sherried.

P: Very rich, lot's sherry influence. some honey like feel. very Balvenie, light cocolate and grain.

C: 87 points. rich sherry malt with good Balvenie style. 這支重雪莉的酒還不錯的是還保有酒廠的特質, 頗舒服的酒! 也是免稅店專賣版本!

插花酒:

Balvenie 15yo 1992/2007 (47.8%, OB, C#1493)

C: Light yellow

N: new spirit liek quite grassy.

P: medium light body short finish.

C: 79 points. Very light refill cask? no honey! 感謝Roach的插花, 提供一個比較的機會, 也許是要求提高吧, 感覺這支酒有點弱!

Port Charlotte 2001/2009 (66.2%, Malt's of Scotland, sherry hogshead, C#829)

C: Dark bron, somewhat orange.

N: very peaty, sherry, tropical fruit, very rich, plum.

P: nutty bitter, sulfer, rich and complex.

C: 90 points. a vry ncie heavy peaty one. 謝謝國文插花.
