轉眼間又快一年了, 今年已經決定放棄Limburg, 整理記錄的時候才發現去年在Limburg裝了不少Caol Ila, 這是間很棒的酒廠, 不過總是讓我少了些感動, 也許艾雷的酒就是不該這麼乾淨, 有頂髒髒的感覺反而呈現艾雷的粗曠! 好懷念艾雷!
Caol Ila 20yo (40%, Sestante, red strip, white label)
C: Golden yellow, quite oil, Limburg sample.
N: Peaty and smoky, quite rich, not really like the Caol Ila I familier. Tropical fruit, hint of mango. very nice nose.
P: Medium body, sweet, match box, finish dry. matured and rounded.
C: 90 points. With lot's of power and really nice malt. 這是在Mara攤位裝的sample, 打高分的原因正是因為它不太像現在的Caol Ila. 
Caol Ila 8yo (59.8%, OB, unpeated, 2006)
C: Light yellow, Limburg sample.
N; Very fruity, with hint of animal, rich malty feel, powerful, earthy. very pleasant.
P: Light body, medium finish, very nice and enjoyable. fruity palate, sweet finish.
C: 89 points. unpeated, Caol Ila is a very charming malt. no wonder Blenders like it. 這是第一版的無泥煤版本, 第二版的酒精度增加到64.9%, 試過無泥煤版本的Caol Ila 之後才真正能體會酒廠的風格, 比起來我還更喜歡這種無泥煤版本呢!
Caol Ila 13yo 1993/2006 (56.5%, Cldesdale, C#0001/6980, 317bts.)
C: Light yellow, Limburg sample.
N: grain, peat, very clean, clear house style. fruity sweet.
P: Light body, medium finish. peaty bitter, hint of fruit.
C: 85 points. Quality standard Caol Ila. 維持一貫Cladesdale的乾淨輕盈風格, 可惜國內引進的Cldesdale版本很少.
Caol Ila 16yo 1990/2006 (58.3% Blackadder Raw Cask, C#4163, 279 bts. 3yo Sherry Finish)
C: Gold brown. Limburg Sample.
N: Very peaty, standard Caol Ila Style. Hint of smoke, fruity.
P: Medium light body. medium finish. Quite easy drinking one.
C: 87 points. Rich and slightly better than the Cldesdale one. 春風似乎沒有引進這款酒, 聽說更棒的Port Ellen都賣了很久, 難怪不敢進Caol Ila.
Caol Ila 16yo 1991/2007 (57.9%, The Whisky Exchange,C#851, 298 bts.)
C: Golden yellow.
N: Clean, animal, peaty, not very Caol Ila style. quite malty.
P: Peaty, quit malty sweet. light body. short-medium finish.
C: 86 points. easy and good drinking. light style. Whisky Exchange的選酒都很棒, 昨天才剛聽到個小道消息說有酒商在跟他們接觸了, 希望酒友們很快會有口福喝到他們家的酒!
