連續喝了兩個Flight, 大家休息了一下, 然後就朝著餐廳出發, 畢竟幫Craig慶生是最重要的事情!
這間餐廳的海鮮做得不錯, 由於長途旅行食慾不佳, 我直接叫了一大盤當地現撈的貝類, 過然很開胃!


大家很開心的聊到十點多, 然後回到住處, 收拾一下, 果然開始下一輪品飲, 就這點來說還真的很Maniacs, 記得第一次跟Manics品飲的時候就是從早到晚照三餐加宵夜喝的, 那次品飲道凌晨三點, 今晚看起來還好, 應該可以在午夜左右結束!


Lochside 17yo 1965 (40%, G&M, Connoisseurs Choice, +/-1982)
C: Brown.
N: some sherry influence, prum, robust, blackberry, toffee, 
P: medium light body, medium finish. normal to dry finish. very drinkable.
C: 87 points. Good nose, very nice palate and finish. 又是一支不錯的Lochside.


Famous Grouse, 12yo 1992 (40%, OB, Vatted malt)
C: brown.
N: caramel, sweet, sherry influence, citrus, very malt.
P: Kind of thin, caramel again, medium body, medium finish.
C: 79 points. Good drinking whisky,  這支是Craig少數喜歡的純麥威士忌, 他還買了好幾支留下來, 不過這次品飲他自己都覺得沒有當時喝的那麼好. 可見得人還是會變的.


Glen Grant 1959+1960/1986 (40%, G&M, Royal Wedding for Andrew & Sarah)
C: Dark brown.
N: Nice sherry nose, another old Glen Grant sherry monster, Prum, toffee, dark chocolate, vrry malty. Dilute get much better nose.
P: Good sherry influence.  medium body, medium finish. 
C: 87 points. Very nice and balance.  最近突然很喜歡重雪莉款的東西, 中年男子的改變? 同樣是皇家婚禮特別版, Andrew 就比Charles要差多了, 應該是老婆的關係吧!


Glendronach 1959+1960/1986 (40%, G&M Royal Wedding for Andrew & Sarah)
C: Dark brown.
N: fruty, old malt, orange, somewhat like old springbank, grain and malty.
P: Very good palate, medium body, medium finish, very serry palate, dry.
C: 87 points. also a nice one, seems younger than the age statement.  顏色於前一支看起來很像, 兩支喝起來的口感差異卻很大, Glen Grant 是比較標準的重雪莉版本, Glendronach則感覺清新而溫和許多.


Mosstowie 1975/1994 (40%, G&M, Connisseurs Choice, map label)
C: Brown. 
N: Old malt feel, orange, hint of sherry, sweet malty feel.
P:Too sweet, mouth coating, medium body, rounded.
C: 80 points. not impressive,  Mosstowie 是支除了名字之外很難讓你印象深刻的酒, 但是也不難喝就是了.


Benrinnes 21yo 1974/1995 (43%, Signatory Vintage, Butt#2579, 695bts.)
C: Brown.
N: Fruity, citrus, cherry, very grainy and malt.
P: Sweet, medium-light body, finished long and well.
C: 84 poitns. Very good palate, somewhat weak nose.  其實以43%的裝瓶來說表現算是不錯的一支酒.


Sullvans Cove 6yo 2000/2007 (60%, OB, Tasmania Distillery, Barrel#HH0548, Port maturation)
C: brown.
N: Very nice young malt. very fruty with lot's of citrus fruty, not very port nose.
P: Powerful and robust, finished very long.
C: 89 points. Good ending of the night.  這是與會朋友的私人裝瓶, 雖然Sullvans Cove的評價一直很差, 但是也許一天下來也喝很多酒了, 也許當天喝的酒精度都不夠高, 更也許是一堆熱情朋友們在一起的好氣氛, 總之, 我就是覺得是個好結尾!

  • Mosstowie不就是Miltonduff的泥煤版嗎 ? 有喝到Peat嗎 ? 前幾次喝都沒什麼感覺 , 很懷疑這只是噱頭而已 ...
  • Mosstowie是Miltonduff用羅莽式蒸餾器生產所取的名字,不過已經拆了,煙燻味聽說比較重。新一期的吉X屋SIG剛好有一支!

  • 一般淡菜配沙拉的確可以當正餐吃,義大利餐廳常有此樣主菜.如果再加一碗海鮮類蕃茄濃湯會更好~
  • 嗯! 一樣的做法,當主菜的份量大約是前菜的三倍, 不過價錢只有一倍而已, 一般來說我只會在中午這樣吃, 當天完全是吃不下太油膩的東西, 對於一般西式餐點的肉類不太有胃口. Hertford兄說的沒錯, 配上碗湯會很棒!

  • 哈~我的第一支威雀正是這支1990的,盒子現在還留著用來著裝軟木塞,當初也是覺得還不錯呢!
  • 據說威雀這些有年份標示的酒確實很容易喝出版本的差異, 算是超值的酒款, 只是對我來說還是焦糖味道太重了些.
