Single Malt Lover!

才剛喝完第一個flight, 很快的陸續進來不少人,基本上這是有點有趣的聚會, Craig跟大家說每個flight開始的時間, 大家利用中間自己閒晃, 時間到了聚在一起品飲. 有點意外的在於見到了幾個澳洲威士忌酒廠的廠主, 後來才知道他們順便要利用這個機會討論, 兩年一度酒展的事情.


Dallas Dhu 12yo 1968 (40%, G&M Connoisseurs Choice)
C:Orange.
N: metalic, grain, orange, grain husk.
P: Medium body, medium finish, lack of power, finished well.
D: get more honey nose and better palate.
C: 85 points. a good old malt, need some time to open.


Glencraig 16yo 1970 (40%, G&M, Connoisseurs Choice)
C:Brown/Orange. 
N: Metalic again, I wonder if it is because of the glass, but it seems this kind of note appear in old malt quite often. White flower, old grain, tropical fruit, perfume.
P: Medium body, thick and big finish. sweet and good one.
C: 83 points. Sweet, drinkable, not impressive.


Millburn 18yo 1977/1996 (43%, Coopers Choice, Amiercan edition)
C: Brown and orange.
N: Grain, malty, not yet open nose. decomposed fruit, veyr grainy.
P: Medium body, medium finish. very drinkable. Finished kind of too sweet.
D: dilute get more fruity feel and much better.
C: 82 points. if not that sweet would be better.


Glen mhor 1979/2000 (40%, G&M, licenced bottling)
C: Brown.
N: Metallic, tropical fruit, malty sweet. honey, more minty feel.
P: Medium rich body. very nice finish. a little bit salty.
C: 84 points. Good one, better than expected, but not that impressive.


Glenesk 1982/1995 (40%, G&M, Connisserus Choice)
C: Orange brown.
N: Old grain, metallic agin, must be my own problem. quite active, young? lot's tropical fruity.
P: Orange sweet, malty, medium light body. dry.
C: 80 points. Good but really very normal one.
