部分今年Whiskyfair喝的酒都已經在別的紀錄中post出來了, 看看時間也很久了,還是草草整理一下!

開幕前一天晚上, 雖然號稱只有展覽商可以進去, 但是熟人如我們都是硬ㄠ了一下就闖進去聊天, 很熱鬧的晚上, 當然還是要喝酒的.

Mackmyra Preludium 04 (53.3%, OB, bottled 2007-04-11)
這是瑞典的威士忌酒廠出的酒，不意外的, 這是這間2002年開工的威士忌酒廠所出的第四款酒, 這期的Whisky Magazine還有試飲報告. Nice vanilla and fruity influence with clear malty sweet, not very impressive as a young single malt, 5yo? but not bad. 80 points.

Mackmyra WIP sample Sep. 19, 2003/ May 12, 2006 (59.9%, OB, Bourbon cask with 3 month Swedish new oak finish.)
Very nice vanilla, good creaming nose, new wood attacked the pallate, with some harsh feel. finished with uniquie and good feel. balanced and good work. 85 points.

正式開幕, 連續裝了幾支酒才開始喝!

Glenglassaugh 38yo 1967/2006 (59.3%, Signatory, 109 bts. wine teated puncheon, same cask of the sillent still)
87 points. very fruity, light. quite peaty, lot's woodiness.

Mortlach 22yo 1957/1979 (45.7%, 80 proof, Cadenheads dumty bottle,for George Cowiee Son Ltd.)
89 points. very fuity, lot's animal, some peat, very Mortlach, a little bit watering.

Satsuma 薩摩 鹿兒島 20yo 1984/2004  (55%, OB, 本坊酒造鹿兒島工廠, C#1683, 1684, 1691, 1,752 bts.)
81 points. very fruity, very Japanese, a little bitl salty.

Talisker 1956 (55%, G&M, Cask series, creaming white label)
85 points. Sherried, sour, medium peatied level, some island nose, not as good as the one I bought earlier, but sitll a nice one.

Ardbeg Almost There 1998/2007 (54.1%, OB)
88 points. Quite nutty, very fruity, lot's peatiness, matured, finished warm and well. really almost there, very close to 10yo.

Glenfiddich 8yo "pure malt" (43%, OB, Golden old label, around 1985)
78 points. lot's citrus, light.

Caol Ila 35yo 1969/2004 (45%, G&M, Private Selection, C#1755+1760, 374 bts.)
88 pints. Quite sherry influence, Sulfer, lot's peatiness.

Caol Ila 16yo 1991/2007 (574%, Whisky-Doris, bourbon cask, 115 bts.)
87 points. peaty, malty, lot's iodine, refresh, .

Highland Park 39yo 1968/2007 (41.8%, Duncan Tayler, C#3460, 183 bts.)
88 points. very floral, lot's house character, elegant, good old malt.

Compass Box NAS Hedonism (43%, Compass Box, vatted grain whiksy, 2007)
87 points. second release, more toffee, nutty, citrus, quite deep and can't recognize as Grain whisky.

Longmore 10yo 1996/2006 59.4%, Cadenhead bond reserve, 654 bts.sherry butt)
82 points. very smoky with lot's of sour fruit, very Longmorn house style. strong.

Bowmore 1989 Raw cask Sep.1989~Apr.2002, plus 3 years in Dr. J, Schroder's garden)
85 points. 這支酒是在吃到午夜的晚餐後, 回到飯店大廳,被精神很好的Charles MacLean抓去品飲, 他造訪了這位收藏家,他買了這桶Bowmore, 然後整桶運回他家, 埋在花園底下, 結果出現了超級奇怪的味道, 最後是Robin幫他裝瓶的. Salty,very malty, some peat, not very Bormore, very strange palate, very dry and smoky.而且我醉了, 喝一口就回房間睡覺去!

一方面前一天把我的力氣用完了, 一方面早上有個品飲會, 下午又一個, 中間還跑回去睡覺, 所以週日都在裝sample, 在會場幾乎都沒喝.

Ben Nevis 10yo 1996/2007 (46%, JWWW Lochs and Castles of Scotland, C#996, 354 bts)
80 points. Very grassy, malty sweet, very new spirit like. good and clean. light body. medim finish.
