Some of the new open malt in Sep.
Caperdonich 35yo 1968 Mission II (46%, Murray McDavid, 600b.)
Light Yellow, slow legs, thick. Vanilla, citrus, very fruity. A little bit woody. Typical speyside. Rich, some hint of flower as well. Malt sweet at the end. Apparently it was much better when I tasted it from cask last year in Bruichladdich.(not the same cask but should from similar batch.) But even dilute to 46%, this one still shows strong body and palate. Finished extremely long. Adding water get more flower. Can’t believe a 35yo malt being so strong. Score: 90.

我真的忘記是誰給我的, 麻煩舉一下手! Light yellow. Fresh fruit. Grass. Nuty. Wood. Hint of flower. Getting better as time goes by. But not my style. Finished long. Light body. Score: 82. Serge, Olivier and Luc all gave this one higher than 90. But I checked again, make sure I won’t change my score.

品酒社活動: Japanese Whisky Tasting
Yamazaki NAS (40%, OB, 300ml, for distillery visitor only, bottle no#074717)
(Matt:80, Kanne:80, SUSC:78, Man in the Mirror: 74, Brian詹: 78, House:80)

Bunnahabhain samples at home
Black Bottle 10yo 40%
如印象中的好, 頗複雜, 很有層次的果香及麥芽香, 雖然是輕度泥煤, 反而比其他的Bunnahabhain來得重些, 80分.

Edinburgh -- Home
July 19, 2005 Edinburgh
Our original plan was to go our as early as we can. But it seems everybody was quite tired, we didn’t get out until 10:30. We took the sightseeing bus around the city and left at the Edinburgh Castle before noon for the 1 o’clock canon firing. It is said to be a tradition for the sailors to check the time. Edinburgh Castle is full of tourists. We looks around for a while, the kids are happy but do not really interested at the museum inside.
